i fucking love valentines day btw!!! ever since i was little i would wake up to a cute bookmark or a crystal suncatcher or a box of smarties laid on the kitchen table for me to find before school. my mom has always been that way… paid attention to the cute little extras that make life special. i think valentines day is one of those cute little extras.
so many people yell about valentines day being all marketing and argue “i dont need a day to show my love!”… and its so true… ill show my love to people in my life every day of the year… but its still fun to have this extra day where you can really pull out all the stops [if the mood strikes].
and fine… if you dont want to do the romance-y day then at least you have an oppertunity to wear red and pink together without looking like a clashy jackass. right!?
so since I love this day soooo much… i got my nails done, bought cute outfits to wear out, got dora the explorer valentines for all my friends, cheesy plush hearts for my bff’s and wrote love letters to the people that matter the very most to me. its important to me to show them just how much i care.
i am not quite sure what the plan for today is… devon is in charge of everything – so excited!! so all i know is i will be smiling in the company of my cute boyfriend, and feeling sexy in my new heart painted pedicure lol.
now im off to finish my gifts and make sugar cookies to decorate!!!
